Facilities
Ridgewood Village has excellent facilities and these include a Clubhouse, containing a Private Pub, Library, Reception area, lounge , card room, private function area and braai area. On a Friday evening residents get together for a “bring and braai” and gas cookers are available for use by all.
There is a beautiful fenced swimming pool that is used extensively by residents and visiting family, and residents can enjoy relaxing walks throughout the Village.
An on site kitchen provides the Village with an extensive, well balanced range of meals at a nominal cost with a set menu for each day, over a 4 week cycle.
A dining room is available, for sit down meals, or alternatively meals can be delivered to you, if you are unable to leave your home.
Private functions may held in the clubhouse, by prior arrangement, and a full catering service can be provided, if required.
Ridgewood Village has a 10 seater bus and residents can make use of this every Wednesday for shopping at the well known La Lucia Mall
There is an on-site hairdressing salon and a hairdresser is available to assist Ladies & Gents, on a Monday, Wednesday & Friday.
Country Club
The Mount Edgecombe Country Club (MECC) is situated in close proximity to Ridgewood Village and residents can elect to become a member, immediately, and enjoy all the excellent facilities offered by the Club. There are 2 top class golf courses (The Woods & The Lakes) and the Club also offers a range of other sports, including bowls, tennis, squash, biking trails, fishing (subject to Fishing Club membership), birding and walking.
MECC offers a variety of restaurants, for dining out, and The Watershed Café, adjacent to Pani Dam, is the ideal spot for a light meal, sundowner or simply a cup of coffee with friends. The Club also provides for private functions and more information is available on http://www.mountedgecombe.com
Activities
Regular residents functions are held, in the Village, and these include quiz evenings, special dinners, bingo and residents also get together socially for other activities such as bridge, knitting and Prayer groups.
A church service is held every Thursday morning, in the dining room and all are welcome to attend.
